Area to east of downtown sees surge in mixed-use projects

Atlanta's "downtown east" -- Peachtree to the Interstate 75/I-85 connector, and from North Avenue south to about the Georgia State University campus -- has lagged behind the development pace of elsewhere in the city's core.
